Day 1
Day 1 – Marrakech – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazzate
5 days in the desert of Marrakech Departure from Fez: we will pick you up from your riad / hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 a.m., we will pass through the tizi ntichka pass, we will stop for photos, a visit to Telouet and its old kasbah of 17th century, lunch in an oasis of peace with a Berber folklore show, an hour and a half drive from the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (11th century kasbah, UNESCO world heritage site), visit to the Atlas studio, night in Ourzazate
Day 2
Day 2 – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dadès Gorges
Breakfast at the hotel and departure from Ouarzazate for the Dadès Gorges towards Skoura where we will stop to visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle, one of the wonders of the “Route of a thousand kasbahs” from South. Continuing our journey through the Roses Valley, we will drive 30 km off-road on the valley tracks to visit the nomads who live in the tombs (we will have them with them), after which we will reach the Kasbah Ait Youl, have lunch on the Dadès gorges, free afternoon in the Dadès valley. Dinner and night in the Dadès gorges.
Day 3
Day 3 – Dadès Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the Todra gorges: a massive fault, culminating at 300 m in a narrow valley dotted with palm trees and Berber villages. After lunch in the gorge, transport yourself further into the desert to Merzouga, stopping along the large sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will take a camel ride (approx. an hour and a half) in order to arrive at your Bivouac tent. You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Berber dinner and sleep in a traditional Nomade camel hair tent.
Day 4
Day 4 – Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Merzouga
Wake up to a spectacular desert sunrise and have breakfast then we return by camel. and a shower. We will take a desert dune tour where you will have the opportunity to see the amazing and changing contrasts of the desert. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians before having a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. After lunch, we return to Merzouga. Installation at your hotel and overnight.
Day 5
Day 5 – Merzouga – Medilte- Azrou- Fez
After breakfast, we will leave Merzouga for Fez via Azrou, On the way we will pass through Erfoud and Errachidia and Medilt. We will stop for lunch (at Medilt) and stop to see the wild monkeys on the cedar forests of Azrou. Continuation to Fez and arrival in the early evening. Installation in your Riad.
